Ex-Love
Jun 13th, 2006 by MadV
Priya and Manu studied together in 12th. Somehow they felt that something more than friendship existed between them. And so they made sure that they got admission in the same college; though they took different streams.
Finally their relationship grew further. And theirs came to be known as the best pair in every respect in the whole college.
Three years flew by with fights and rejoining. In the final year I could find her in red eyes most of the time. But I never bothered to ask her what the reason was. It was known to everyone that their relation was breaking.
The reason was some ego clash. She got placed in some company and he did not. Then he always considered himself to be inferior to her. And he tried to escape away from her. And finally it got ended by him by saying he cannot do any commitments at that moment to her. She was ready to wait. But he was not interested even to listen to her.
And slowly she started making up her mind. She got in to job, got busy all the time. And slowly his thoughts began fading away from her mind. By that time Manu got a job. But he never contacted her.
It was tough for her to take up a decision to marry someone else. But because there was no point in waiting for someone who doesn’t care for her tears, and also pressure from home, she made up her mind to lead a new life. And she agreed to marry Tinu.
Hmmm.. Now the question is was it all necessary? If you fall in love you should make sure that it doesn’t go in vain. Otherwise don’t fall in love. Once it fails it will affect 4 lives - The lovers and their spouses.
The second question is will the person whom she married will take it as just a casual affair. Will he be so kind hearted gentleman? Or will he keep on annoying her by digging her past?
And can she love him as much as she loved Manu? Hmmmm….
What if Veeran tells me someday that he had loved someone else? Will I be able to overcome that grief? Even if he had one why should it bother me? It should not bother me as long as he loves me. Everyone has the full freedom to love anyone in the world. Hope Tinu also will take it in that way.
And let the story be ended by they lived happily everafter :-).

@ Madv - Wow ! Thats some well written piece. You should create a Hall of Fame and start putting/linking them out there

Well, I dont think he would have any problems, or rather he shouldn’t. There are things in life that happen and some which do-not HAPPEN. No point thinking about the past and This past .. which didnt bear fruits - should be dumped in a paper shredder.
–And can she love him as much as she loved Manu?
It all depends on how she wants to mold herself. If she says that she can forget ‘Manu’ for good then I believe she can.

Murky waters .. dont get in there
Bottomline - things do happen as we see in them crap Bollywood movies. But it makes a helluva difference when its real life as against reel life.
@Rajesh: Double Danks for such a wonderful and descriptive comment :D.
Yeah… ex-loves will not and shall not create a problem in one’s life :-).
