I'd say Catch-22!
Familiarity breeds the need to remain friendly, the need to remain in talking terms.
At the same time, familiarity wipes out the superficial covering of the person whom you at first meeting thought to be someone else.
Familiarity, can cause both the effects. Teh more frindly you become with a person, the more free you become, the more that person becomes taken for granted and you tend to abuse that freedom.
Oh! forget it!

hi durga ..

saw yur blog and i completly agree wid yur view that familiarity breeds love and not contempt...

i would quote a line by Abraham Lincoln
"I don't like that man. I must get to know him better".

though this is true but unfortunately in some cases i have myself experienced familiarity breeds dislike as the more you know a person the more chance you have that he/she'll do something that you woudnt have expected or sumthin you woudlnt have done had you been in his/her position...

i know wat all i said is kinda contradictory but thats the way it is..

Familiarity breeds luv..
Wow tats nice....even i agree. But often we take these kinda relnship or the constant in-touchs ,our near & dears for granted. We dun care much bout them n outside..we let ourselves be whom we r among them...& i think it often hurts coz we rarely do care how they feel..But it takes a little time sometimes to realize the same fact..when sm1 close 2 us hurts us in the some way or other. It often leaves a mark in our heart..people dun care if tiz done by strangers ..but they do if u r familiar..coz they expect more from you.

So I think it takes time...but still creates luv...i agree durga. But lets remain the same as we r now...taking liberty but not too much ..
