‘Issues’
Dec 28th, 2005 by MadV
After getting into the production there is one word which we hear often, issues.
“If you have any issues just contact so and so.”
“Is that issue resolved by now?”
“That should not be an issue.”
And we, the poor freshers are like an unlimited source of issues. Somehow we try to fix the current issue and the next one pops up. Some othertimes when we realise that we cannot resolve it by ourselves we call up some senior folk to have a look on it. He may be successful in fixing the present issue but resulting in the revelation of atleast double in count of new ones. Huh.. And that is how morning 9 soon becomes evening 9 for me nowadays.
One of those issues when consulted with a senior turned up into another BIG issue. And then our pc was surrounded by much more senior folks. In the end they decided to make a change in the template itself. Poor guys, who now have to do rework on all those delivered so far.
Yesterday, eventhough we worked very hard, I was happy in the evening because, atlast all the issues have stopped popping up. And I left to home early :-). And so today I had BIG hopes that I wont be doing anything in particular in the office other than chatting and mailing. Alas, a few more still exists(Issues yaar
). So have to work for some more time. Now the network is down so nothing can be done and so thought of writing up another blog entry so that I can copy paste it in the evening :-).
There might soon come up another Fed Up blog ;-).
Perhaps, we should start something like this Consumer Complaints Blog.

Issues eh ? Well its good that they are found !! Its better not to have encountered them and find out later - you are doomed then.
But yeah freshers are given the torch and its good - u learn a lot
can empathize with it.. the same things happened in our initial years too..
btw its real fun to create new bugs! :p
You may feel that every issues are fixed with perfection in a days work but issues still exists only thing you haven’t had an encounter…I personaly feel though often counted among an experienced folk, learn a lot from freshers….so do they…the right combination always deliver better results…
Well..while walking through the sides of this blog newton’s 3rd law coming into my mind as a flash.
“Bugs can neither be created nor be removed from software by a developer. It can only be converted from one form to another. The total number of bugs in the software always remains constant.”
But when a bug is get fixed the satisfaction you get would hav more value than the salary slip u got every month
