Malayalee - The Malayalam Album From Youth
Jun 19th, 2007 by MadV
Dear fellow bloggers/readers, this post is being written with extreme honour to my class mate.
What will you do when you get to know that one of your classmates who used to be damn shy has turned into a celebrity? Well, what I’ll do is that I’ll scream and tell the world that I’m proud to be his class mate. And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do via this blog post.
Before coming to the part how he got into the lime light let me give you a briefing about his existence in college. He was a hosteller and used to limit his talents within the hostel only. Hence people like me never got to know about his talents.
Though he used to take part in literary competetions during Arts he never seemed to be too much into that. Neither he was studious. In effect, in the class nobody actually used to bother if he was present or not.
His a week’s contiunuos absence may make lecturer’s eye-brows raise a little and it is the time when we realize that there has to be some person called so and so in the class. His hostel mates would nicely tackle the situation by telling them that he’s not well or so. He may actually be in his room doing something or other.
Now coming to how he turned to a celebrity. One of our sub juniors, Mr. Jakes Bejoy has come up with an album along with the support from his friends. And this guy had realised the immense potential held by our class mate Mr. Jelu Jayaraj.
That paved the way for entry into an alternate stream for Jelu. He is now a lyricist. The album titled as Malayalee has already been accepted by the youth. Lyrics of three songs, out of eight, in the album is by our dear Jelu only. [I never even dreamt that I'd get a chance to write so proudly about Jelu :-)].
Produced under Nest banner, the Malayalee album crew includes already established singers like Vineeth Sreenivasan, Madhu Balakrishnan etc. The videos of the shot songs are directed superbly.
Watch Minnalazhakey and realize that Malayalam albums are now heading to set a new trend. All the very best to the team Malayalee for the upcoming ventures. And Jelu, keep rocking!
Happy video watching to all.
