The Divine Fasting
Nov 13th, 2006 by MadV
Coming to the fasting period, out of the twelve months in a year one month they dedicate to God. During this period they starve for more than twelve hours a day. This is done so that every individual will get to know about what the poor people are suffering. This will induce the energy to help poor people.
One evening, when I was traveling in bus it was almost quarter past 6. I found the conductor, cleaner and driver of the bus suddenly opening packets containing some snacks. They had it while the bus was moving on. I was wondering what is happening. It was then I realised that it was the time to break their day’s fast.
Their dedication towards work and God truly inspired me. Even though they were weak they were ready to take up the responsibility of dropping many passengers at their destination. I dont think that I’ll be so dedicated when I’m hungry.
We should really admire these persons.
NB: Hehe.. Christmas is coming up, but I’m talking about Eid. Seems the processor is damn slow these days :-D.
